Qantas boss Alan Joyce is so confident Boeing's 737 MAX aircraft will return to the skies safely that he will consider buying the grounded jet to replace his airline’s domestic fleet. With the 777-200LR and 777X-9 Boeing could offer earlier deliveries and in the case of the 777-200LR take them back from Qantas as the 777X-8 is delivered. Boeing would then convert them to freighters for FedEx. Recent cutbacks by Etihad Airways and Lufthansa to their 777X orders have freed up early delivery positions for the -9 model. Boeing is to offer Qantas its larger 777X-9 for delivery in 2021 to launch its Project Sunrise non-stop flights from New York and London to Sydney as an interim solution suggest sources in the US. The US manufacturer has slowed the development of its longer-ranged 777X-8 and will compensate Qantas for operating the larger 777X-9.
Installation:
- Unzip PMDG777_QF_EFR.zip to a temporary folder on your desktop.
- Open PMDG Operations Center, select the 777 from the main dropdown menu, select the Livery Manager module, then the PMDG 777F from the dropdown menu. You'll see a list of all active liveries appear on the left side.
- Click the 'Click to Add' button on the right side and navigate to the temporary folder on your desktop, select 777F_Qantas_Freight.ptp and click open.
- That's it, enjoy!
In the unlikely event the livery does not appear within FSX try the following:
- Navigate to C:Program Files (x86)Microsoft GamesMicrosoft Flight Simulator XSimObjectsAirplanesPMDG 777F
- Open the aircraft.cfg file with notepad then copy and paste the lines below after the last [fltsim.XX] entry replacing the XX with next corresponding number.
